Champions of Connection: Reigniting the Power of Youth Engagement
Goal
In a world where digital innovation and social change are rapidly evolving, it is important to reestablish the power of connection among the youth of tomorrow. This year’s conference aims to reignite the passion for youth engagement and recognize Youth Outreach Workers (YOWs) as champions of connections and building stronger communities.
The conference will serve as a platform for sharing open dialogues, connecting peers across the province and highlight best practices in empowering youth to thrive and succeed. Together, we’ll explore how peer-to-peer connections can serve as a catalyst for sustainable change, community development, and a renewed sense of purpose among the youth.
As the Provincial Youth Outreach Worker (PYOW) program approaches 20-year anniversary since its inception in 2006, this year’s conference will also highlight the importance of the program’s shared vision, achievements and impact. Attendees will deepen their understanding of the program's legacy and explore ways to carry it forward.
Learning Objectives
Peer-to-peer connections: The conference aims to provide opportunities for both frontline staff and management to engage in meaningful networking. Through structured activities and informal interactions, participants will build relationships, exchange best practices, and strengthen their collective capacity to drive impactful youth engagement initiatives.

Attendees will gain tools for developing strong mentorship bonds that empower youth in all areas of life.
